We are finally in our new home! That’s the good news. How many weeks/months/years will it take for us to unpack and sort through all these boxes?

We have 9 months to file a claim on anything that is broken, so that’s our goal. I figure if I can grow a human life in 9 months, we surely can go through all these boxes by then, right?

We are enjoying our pool, our neighbors, and work. I love going in to the theater. It’s our only all female-managed theatre and it’s #1 in our company–go Wesley Chapel! They are a great group of women and I’m enjoying getting to know them.

Tonight we went to a neighbor’s home to play cards. They asked if we knew how to play Mormon Bridge. 🙂 They took it pretty seriously–they even had a scoresheet he had designed for it and a tabletop for card playing! However, dad was victorious.

During the game, their dog starting barking in the backyard, and they said, “Oh, he must have found a snake.” Sure enough, he had cornered a black snake. We asked what they planned to do with it. She said, “Oh, Brian probably has his pistol and will shoot it.”

Sure enough, he had a gun in his pocket, but the snake wasn’t poisonous, so it lived to see another day.
